With nary a misstep and not a music-stopping-cop in sight, weeks of stress culminated into a successful FABRIC magazine launch event Saturday night. Battling Alexander Wang, Love magazine and Mac’s event at Milk Gas Station and Andre Balazs’ opening of the Boom-Boom room for air time, FABRIC magazine drew an beautiful and energy filled cocktail of people. DJ’s Harley Viera Newton and David Manuel kept the dance floor packed as revelers finished every drop of alcohol from our sponsors. Just a few minutes ago at the MTV Video Music Awads (VMA’s) Kanye West showed his tasteless and self centered ways when he jumped on stage to interrupt Taylor Swift as she was give her acceptance speech. Taylor Swift had just won best female music video, beating out Lady GaGa, Katy Pery, and Beyonce and started her speech when Kanye jumped on stage grabbed her microphone and proclaimed that in fact Beyonce had one of the best music videos of all time. Nicole Richie is a second time mom. The reality star turned fashion icon gave birth to her son at anal hospital on Thursday, and she gave him a strange name  Sparrow! “In the middle of night, the very early hours of September 9, 2009, Sparrow James Midnight Madden was born to Nicole Richie and Joel Madden. He weighs 7 lbs. 14 oz. Nicole, Joel, Harlow and Sparrow are all doing well. Thank you for all of your good wishes,” the couple wrote on Richie’s Web site. And Nicole was right back to her Twitter duties a day later! “What a great day to come back on Twitter. Thank you everyone for your well wishes. I love my family!!” she wrote on Thursday evening. Plans to release a limited edition DJ AM Nike have been shelved  for now. The world faMous DJ  born Adam Goldstein  was about to release a kick with his own logo on it when he died of a drug overdose at his NYC apartment last Friday. And now Nike is trying to work out the details on what they will do. Adam, who was sneaker obsessed and had over 700 pairs – had been working on the shoe for months when his life was cut short at age 36 and Nike is working with Adam’s family to figure out the “next step in terms of release.” Meanwhile a memorial service was held in LA on Thursday, where mourners including ex fiancé Nicole Richie, fellow DJ Sam Ronson and her girlfriend attended. In not so shocking news, LeAnn Rimes is getting divorced. The country singer turned actress made headlines when she was caught in a liplock with her Northern Lights co-star Eddie Cibrian at the Malibu Beach Inn in March. And while LeAnn, who was married to choreographer Dean Shermet, and Eddie, who has two kids with wife Brandi Granville, denied the romance, they recently reunited – publicly. First, they hit the links, cuddling on a golf cart at Valencia Golf Club, and then went to see the Kings of Leon together at The Forum in LA. Eddie’s wife scolded him for the affair while Dean remained silent but now it seems that things have finally ended for the pair, who have been married for 7 years. “After much thoughtful mutual consideration, Dean and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage,” the country star says on her Web site using the spelling of her husband’s given name. “This decision was amicable and we remain committed and caring friends with great admiration for one another.
