Adriana Lima Teams with Russell James on Live Stream Project

Chris Peake

Looks like Victoria’s Secret is leaping off the pages, and no, we don’t mean another wing-bedecked runway show. Everyone’s favorite Angel Adriana Lima has teamed with VS photog Russell James on a live streaming art project. For those who already count Lima’s famous features a piece of work unto itself, it’s only getting better. The duo’s black and white “art project” live-streamed tonight online via Ustream. If you missed the shoot, which was part of James’ Nomad project, the video is can be seen at Lima’s recently launched website or check it out below. It’s a worth a look-see, if not for the famous Brazilian model, then for the killer Led Zeppelin soundtrack. 34, Avenue Foch with Model Lindsey Wixson

Jillian Hobbs

Watching this video will surely give you the chills, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. We find ourselves strangely attracted to the beautiful Lindsey Wixson whose presence in this video leaves us with the same uneasy feeling we got from the twins in The Shining. The title, 34, Avenue Foch, even sounds like a creepy alternate universe similar to that of Alice in Wonderland. Wixson is a 5’ 10” beauty currently signed with Marylin NY, known for her pillowy lips, and is the current face of Mui Mui. There is no doubt Director Willy Vanderperre has captivated the dark romantic side of Mui Mui A/W 2010 collection in this playfully menacing video. Continue…

Karmen Pedaru for Numero Tokyo

Chris Peake

What happens when you mix Karmen Pedaru, photographer David Vasiljevic, stylist Charles Varenne and Brooklyn? Well, actually, a lot can happen. But in this case what we got is a gorgeous cover of the new Numero Tokyo. Estonian beauty Karmen Pedaru is no stranger to the spotlight, after walking Givenchy, Elie Saab, Chanel, and Valentino couture shows in Paris last month, another cover is a piece of cake, or, err, celery.

Meghan Collison For VMAN May 2010

Chris Peake

Normally VMAN, well features male models. So what a pleasant surprise to see Meghan Collison (Next) featured in this retro-tinged spread. More interesting is Collison is usually styled with an edgy, enfant terribles vibe. Admittedly, this ladylike turn throws off a bit, but what’s fashion without trying something new? Continue…

GUCCI SPRING SUMMER AND NATASHA POLY

Staff

OK, it seems to be Natasha Poly day at Fabric Magazine, but, like our editor says, we could do worse that her. We love what Gucci did with this video. They brought a young stallion for Miss Poly to hang on and a bag or two for her personal effects. Take those ingredients and Jackson Pollock them pool side a million miles from our gray streets and voila! Continue…

Mario Sorrenti Shoots natasha poly for French Vogue

When you are Mario Sorrenti, you are unafraid of bikini clad models. When you are Natasha Poly, you are not afraid to show some skin. Mix the two with a splash of summer sunshine and amazing bikinis and you get a French Vogue shoot worthy of our attention. Continue…

Sølve Sundsbø Makes McQueen Float

James Lim

Photographer Sølve Sundsbø is no stranger in creating some of fashion’s most dynamic images. (Uh hello, Yves Saint Laurent’s M7′s fragrance, anyone?) In next month’s Japanese Vogue, the lensman shot Russian model Alla Kostromicheva (Women Management) in a underwater spread. Stylist George Cortina picked this season’s hottest looks from Pucci, Julien Macdonald, and Prada. But we’re absolutely smitten with the Alexander McQueen shot, seen above. We can’t help but think this is the way Lee would want his clothes to be photographed: Undeniably gorgeous. Continue…

Amber Valletta Covers Italian Vogue’s April Issue

James Lim

Being a Steven Meisel-favorite has its perks. For one, you can be one of the select few who can claim having worked with, arguably, today’s leading fashion photographer. Second, if you’re one of his tried-and-true favorites, like Karen Elson, Gisele Bundchen, or Amber Valletta, the lensman will keep you in his rotation for years to come. Whether or not, you’re en vogue anymore is irrelevant when Meisel deems you worthy. Look no further than this month’s issue of Italian Vogue, where one of America’s most beautiful models, Amber Valletta, reclaims her spotlight in front of the camera. We dig the retro feeling of the cover, which mixes the styling talents of Karl Templer, make-up skills of Pat McGrath, and the Amy Winehouse ‘do is courtesy of the master Guido. Continue…
