Just when we thought the recession might have slowed the fashion cycles down, we realized we were wrong. The biggest change is that while some brands have dropped off the fashion map altogether, big mega-labels are reaping the rewards and flexing their resources. For example, just a week after Karl Lagerfeld et al hit Saint Tropez for Chanel’s 2010 Cruise collection, he sends this Pre-Fall 2010 campaign featuring Mirte Maas out to the fashion news-obsessed online masses. There must be something muy caliente going on in Spain. After Elle Espana released some sultry behind-the-scene shots of a recent bikini shoot, Vogue Spain one-upped them by casting penultimate sexy girl Adriana Lima on its latest cover. Shot by Vincent Peters and styled by Barbara Baumel, the fashion isn’t what’s eye-catching here but rather the Brazilian model. It seems the once-famous virgin has come into her own since tying the knot and popping out a kid. We love getting back stage movies in. But a funny thing happened when we started to watch this tridfecta of behind the scene films. We quickly realized that things are not as they seem. In fact these shorts (don’t worry only about one min each) ended up being brand new unreleased sassy television ads for Touche Éclat by Yves Saint Laurent and they are set in an amazing château filled with eye candy. All our readers know that we occationally like to poke fun at Chanel grand master Karl Lagerfeld, but you have to give credit where credit is due. Kaiser Karl recently had a shoot with pregnant super model Claudia Schiffer for German Vogue, and the results are outstanding. Lagerfeld certainly influenced by the famous 1991 Vanity Fair cover of a pregnant Demi Moore shot a nude Schiffer looking beautiful as ever. Continue…

Looks like Victoria’s Secret is leaping off the pages, and no, we don’t mean another wing-bedecked runway show. Everyone’s favorite Angel Adriana Lima has teamed with VS photog Russell James on a live streaming art project. For those who already count Lima’s famous features a piece of work unto itself, it’s only getting better. The duo’s black and white “art project” live-streamed tonight online via Ustream. If you missed the shoot, which was part of James’ Nomad project, the video is can be seen at Lima’s recently launched website or check it out below. It’s a worth a look-see, if not for the famous Brazilian model, then for the killer Led Zeppelin soundtrack. Watching this video will surely give you the chills, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. We find ourselves strangely attracted to the beautiful Lindsey Wixson whose presence in this video leaves us with the same uneasy feeling we got from the twins in The Shining. The title, 34, Avenue Foch, even sounds like a creepy alternate universe similar to that of Alice in Wonderland. Wixson is a 5’ 10” beauty currently signed with Marylin NY, known for her pillowy lips, and is the current face of Mui Mui. But in this case what we got is a gorgeous cover of the new Numero Tokyo. Estonian beauty Karmen Pedaru is no stranger to the spotlight, after walking Givenchy, Elie Saab, Chanel, and Valentino couture shows in Paris last month, another cover is a piece of cake, or, err, celery.

Normally VMAN, well features male models. So what a pleasant surprise to see Meghan Collison (Next) featured in this retro-tinged spread.
