We were wondering what Juliette Binoche has been doing since “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” and now the lovely actress is exploring another artistic genre by teaming up with famous choreographer and dancer Akram Khan to create a new dance theater. Sponsored by Hermes and SG Private Banking, the innovative collaboration pushes both performing artists into new realms: Binoche has never danced before and Akram has never sang and acted. Check out their newfound endeavors at the Brooklyn Art Museum starting today and running to September 27.

On the collaboration Binoche comments, “With Akram, I felt that we could confront and share new desires, hopes and visions through our respective arts by inventing a common language. I don’t know the result yet, but I know the path that we’re taking is changing me radically. I never know what I’m capable of before I do it. I secretly hope that faith will take over. Any artistic expression is a means to an opening which doesn’t belong to anyone but links us to each other in a mysterious and necessary way.”
