Ranging from Marge Simpson’s exoskeleton to Jessica Rabbit, all the ladies are shown clutching an apple. Somehow the poor fruit has become the war symbol for the calorie shedding clan. Whatever happened to the purely minded “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”?
