Kanye West may have kicks with Louis Vuitton, but musician-actor-designer André Benjamin (aka André 3000 of Outkast) is one step ahead with his preppy yet nostalgic menswear line, Benjamin Bixby. Bixby premiered at Barneys last year for Fall/Winter 2009. Now his designs are taking the international route via hip Parisian retailer Colette, where his line will share hanger space with labels such as Kris Van Assche, Sacai and Lanvin. Considering the generally somber mood of the menswear shows, we’re hoping for a raucous and musical celebration when Benjamin will host a special invite-only showing of his collection at the store with cult French menswear leather line Quai de Valmy this January 24th.
