When we were in London for the SS10 fashion week, I stopped by one of my faves, Browns Fashion Focus, to check out the edgier-than-your-usual-boutique designer selection. It was love at first sight when I tried on a black halter neck David Koma dress that had some serious hardware and a tight lycra fit to match. Alas, a Russian debutante had my size and while my wallet thanks me, I’ve still thought about that dress. Which is to say, when Beyonce rocked Koma’s fashion forward confection last week, my memories of that unique piece came rushing back.
