Designer Bumsuk Choi continues to push the boundaries of menswear with a terse collection of menswear for Spring Summer 2010. The Korean designer’s line General Idea has been around since 2004 and has steadily developed into a counterpoint to the usual uniform of polos and shorts. Choi featured drapey tees with asymmetrical hems, man leggings (aka meggings) and three-quarter length vests. There were also men’s gladiator sandals– with the white leather versions featuring a red sole. From the front row, that included Bloomingdale buyers and Rag & Bone designers Marcus Wainwright and David Neville, looks like Choi is getting the attention he deserves.
