Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi are still settling in at Gianfranco Ferré, but this season marked a more outspoken take on the Italian brand. The design duo stepped out of the shadow of Ferre’s tough hot chick in favor of romance with sheer silk organzas starting in white and deepening to nudes, taupes and fashion favorite black. There were also some fan-pleating, peplums (also seen at Giorgio Armani), slim suits and one-strap short cocktail numbers sure to make an entrance.
