I’m really digging jewelry line, House of Waris‘ Spring/Summer collection. Perhaps you caught a glimpse of designer-actor Waris Singh Ahluwalia in The Darjeeling Limited alongside the knobby-nosed shenanigans of Owen Wilson. In the fashion world, however, he is simply known as Waris and is often seen about town with girlfriend Chiara Clemente, daughter of artist Francesco Clemente. For this coming Spring/Summer, his most recent collection for his cult jewelry line is inspired by the avian motifs of Hôtel Raphael in Paris. Using old-world Indian techniques on enamel, diamonds, gold and silver, the collection’s bejeweled birds have a sense of flight. Airborne cavorting? Sounds ripe for temptation to escape the seriousness of the times.
