Designer Gilles Mendel isn’t resting on his well-tailored laurels. The designer fave for many girls-about-town explored curvilinear forms for his J. Mendel Spring 2010 collection. Inspired by the biomorphic art of Noriko Ambe and Tara Donovan, Mendel added structure to fabrics for day emphasizing, “Day should still feel special. Like an occasion.”
Not to worry, however, there were still his trademark red carpet gowns meant to wow and stun especially in a bright lime green that was classy and a statement simultaneously.
