Having made Ladurée and my personal favorite, Pierre Hermé, requisite stops during Paris Fashion Week, I’m something of a macaron fanatic (admitting is the first step). Kenzo’s Antonio Marras seems to be of the same mindset; the house’s artistic director was inspired by the French sweet to create a set of eight silk-satin colorful round clutches. (The designs also double as a satchel courtesy of a silk cord.) The Macaron collection, six brights and two prints, is set to hit Kenzo boutiques worldwide come April 2011. Going for 195 Euros for solids, 225 Euros for printed versions and 775 euros for the embroidered models, it’ll cost quite a few pennies more than your box of Ladurées but just think of all the calories you’ve saved.
