A Topshop collection might have some designers feeling settled, but designer Markus Lupfer likes to keep things interesting. The German-born designer launched his label in 1988 but has eschewed mainstream fame for cheekier projects such as printed tees sporting slogans like “Naughty” and more tailored mini-dresses for the stylish and fit set– Lupfer counts Gwen Stefani and Daisy Lowe as fans. Now to celebrate the upcoming launch of the Harvey Nichols’ 4th floor, the designer has opted for tchotkes instead of fashion. Lupfer teamed with Steiff for limited edition crystal-encrusted penguins, bears, panthers and pandas, oh my! Only three editions of each sparkly piece were made and will be available in the new year, starting Jan. 10.
