Miuccia Prada always seems to come up with something new. Which is why it’s interesting that the most directional of the Milan shows comes first. Sets a tough tone for the rest to compete we gather. No matter, for Spring Summer 2010, Prada was at once no fuss and feminine– perhaps alluding to the effortlessly chic globe traveler that she referenced this season. Hemlines were short and silks were unfinished at the edges. There were also a mixture of traditional and new textiles that has been the label’s signature including nylon silk blends and crystal and PVC on accessories. Looks in general had a sleek crispness to them that were at once futuristic but not so much as to look like it belonged on a space-age movie set.
