Star Power
So the biggest night in Hollywood is behind us, and there really weren’t many surprises, Slumdog Millionaire won everything, Mickey Rourke wore a weird outfit, Kate Winslet gave a cringe-worthy speech blah, blah, blah. But there were some touching and unforgettable moments. When Heath Ledger’s name was called as the winner of Best Supporting Actor, audiences weren’t sure what to expect. But his father Kim gave a heartfelt speech about his late son, and there was not a dry eye in the house. Just as amazing was Sean Penn’s cry for equal rights for gay and lesbian couples, after picking up the statue for Milk, based on the life of San Fran’s gay activist Harvey Milk. But other than that all was status quo, Nicole Kidman’s face barely moved and Angelina Jolie didn’t crack a smile.
Awkward
Speaking of not cracking a smile, Angie had good reason to be uptight at the awards show she was seated just 12 seats away from her babydaddy Brad Pitt’s ex-wife Jennifer Aniston. And while it should be Jen who is squirming in her chair, sources say that Angie was actually the one who was out of sorts. Brad told Angie that he wanted her and Jen to chat but Angie refused. She acts tough but deep down she is jealous of Jen and what she and Brad had. But the two women put up a good front. While presenting an award with Jack Black, Jen was standing on stage right in front of her ex and Angie. She was ok. She Knew this day would come and now its over!
