Sad, Sad, Sad
Hollywood has lost another shining star. Actress Brittany Murphy who first shot to stardom playing the unfashionable-girl-turned-hottie in Clueless died on Sunday morning from cardiac arrest. And while an autopsy is underway, sources close to Brittany say she had drug problems and was also battling anorexia. Brittany was found unconscious in the shower at the LA home she shares with hubby Simon Monjack early Sunday morning by her mother. And a source at the scene says “there were a lot of prescriptions in the house.” Still, no evidence of foul play has been noted. Meanwhile, celebs have been offering their condolences and support, including Brit’s ex Ashton Kutcher, who dated the fallen star in 2002 after meeting on the set of Just Married.

Congrats!
And now some happy news: Country star Carrie Underwood is engaged to Canadian hockey player Mike Fisher. While celebs are notoriously tight-lipped about their private lives, Mike is admitting it! “It’s true,” Mike confirmed as his Ottawa Senators team prepared for tonight’s game against the Boston Bruins at Scoriabank Place. “We’re both obviously excited and very happy.” Carrie, 26, and Mike, 29, have been dating for over a year now. They met in October 2008 during a concert in Toronto after being introduced by mutual friends.
