The Bowerbirds’ new album, Upper Air is filled with additively sweet melodies written on the road. Things change for a band after their debut album, you have your whole life to write the first one, and only a year or so to write the second. We were pleasantly surprised to hear the Bowerbirds dig deep with the lyrics for Upper Air. Phil Moore and Beth Tacular expose more of themselves on this album to deliver music that reads like a series of journal entries.
