There was a feeling of celebration at the opening of the new Jackie Rogers store on Madison avenue last night. The close friend, muse, model and lover of fashion icon Coco Chanel wanted to bring back some of her old magic.

“This space isn’t exactly new” smiled a jubilant Miss Rogers “You know, in the 70’s when I had my men’s collection, this was my space, we have great memories here, I’m so happy to have it back.”

The 60’s Onassis style dresses were being photographed in the back of the store for the whole room to see and after the shoot the models came out to an excited crowd and did a lap around the room.

“This collection is inspired my Matisse, see the stars?” explained Rogers to a surrounding group of festively dressed friends and family.

With a star studded clientèle of Julianne Moore, Nicole Kidman, Gwyenth Paltrow, Salma Hayek and more, Jackie Rogers’ new store could quicly become the new must-stop for that Madison avenue stroll.
