It’s already day 2 of Copenhagen Fashion Week and things have gotten off to a strong start. While the event isn’t necessarily known for making trends, we have increasingly leaned towards Scandinavian brands for that blend of wearability and price-versus-quality buy. For Fall 2011, there was plenty of black pieces as always, but it seems [...]

While we were lazing around on the beach, Copenhagen Fashion Week wrapped up fashionably this weekend. Danish brand Wood Wood showed relaxed separates with longer hems and loose, oversized shapes. The Swedish brand started by 3 sisters (Sofie, Pernilla and Jennifer Elvestedt) dabbled in sherbet colors in easy classic shapes such as long-collared blazers that contrasted with the structural dresses, dome hats [...]

I went to an amazing Danish Christmas party this past weekend, whereupon deep in conversation with a stylish Dane over cups of gløgg, we completely agreed Henrik Vibskov is a genius. While labels like Staerk, Ivan Grundahl and Noir have transformed Copenhagen into a fashion hothouse for perfect draping, clean lines and cultured minimalism, Vibskov [...]
